The National Football League has released the 2015 schedule of games.  The Redskins have an advantage in that their bye week is in Week 8. Having it in the middle of the season works out well for them. At the same time, the Miami Dolphins and St. Louis Rams are both better teams on paper than they have been in recent years. Having them to contend with in Weeks 1 and 2 and THEN having to play their NFC Division rival New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles doesn’t bode so well for a first 2015 quarter of football… unless the things General Manager Scot McCloughan has done to the roster in the off season drastically changes the team’s chances.

For what it’s worth, the additions to the team’s defense are credible and McCloughan has a good record in past drafts with other teams, especially the Seattle Seahawks. Could it be that there might be at least three or four more wins this season than in 2014? We shall see.

To follow is the 2015 schedule of the Washington Redskins. All times shown are Eastern Standard:

Week 1: Sunday, September 13 host the Miami Dolphins – 1:00 p.m.

Week 2: Sunday, September 20 host the St. Louis Rams, 1:00 p.m.

Week 3: Thursday, September 24 at the New York Giants, 8:25 p.m.
